Anket of Bloomberg TV Bulgaria
At the beginning of the new year, investors are charged with different expectations for upcoming movements in the financial markets. Therefore Bloomberg TV Bulgaria asked leading experts: What can we expect from the markets in 2026?
Pavel Bandilov, CEO of BPD Industrial Real Estate Fund REIT:
The first trading session of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange brought a positive surprise and showed an improvement in market attitudes and a reduction in perceived risk. So far, the effect is rather psychological, but without new quality companies and the IPOs it is difficult to keep this momentum long-term. The development of the stock market requires a more active role of the state, including the listing of shares by large state-owned companies.
Globally, a moderately positive year is expected, led by artificial intelligence, the financial sector and possible interest rates declines from the Fed despite the continuing geopolitical risks.
