Financial analyst Pavel Bandilov in Investbook, 23.09.2016
For the first time in several years, the last 9 months have demonstrated a stabilisation of the situation on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. There is a return of interest and confidence in the market. A lot of companies are paying dividends, some of which have never been paid before. This is what financial analyst Pavel Bandilov said on the air of Investbook with Dimitar Vuchev on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria.
In his words, the reason for this trend is complex. It is due to both the stabilisation of the economy in recent years and the low interest rates on deposits and the good performance of tourism.
According to him, there was a shift in focus in IPOs from real estate companies and REIT to the IT sector. According to him, the reasons for this are both global trends and the fact that the IT industry is strongly advocated in Bulgaria.
The creation of the first Bulgarian exchange traded fund is a very big advertisement, according to Bandilov. According to him, it will cause interest because it will increase liquidity, allows easy diversification of the portfolio and lower transaction costs.
